The government of Quebec is renewing its agreement to support the cultural community in Gaspé and the Islands to the tune of $ 1.1M for the next 3 years.
The amount will be distributed among 12 municipalities and RCMs in the territory.
In the Côte-de-Gaspé, the MRC receives a sum of 90,000 from the Ministry of Culture, which will be shared with the City of Gaspé.
The director, Bruno Bernatchez, specifies that two sectors will be targeted, either for projects related to heritage and the other part of the money will be invested directly in cultural organizations.
For its part, the Rocher-Percé RCM receives $ 102,000 while the City of Percé obtains $ 90,000 for the 3-year period.
Baie-des-Chaleurs will receive an amount of $ 532,000 distributed among 3 RCMs and 4 municipalities in this sector.
The MRC de la Haute-Gaspésie obtains a sum of 45,000 while the City of Sainte-Anne-des-Monts receives $ 81,000.
