On Tuesday, the government announced an amount of 10 million for intercity bus transport, which could allow the Keolis carrier to continue its service in the Gaspé.
This aid aims to help carriers who are experiencing great financial difficulties caused by the pandemic and travel restrictions in the territory.
Last week, Keolis confirmed the temporary abandonment of the vast majority of its services, including the Gaspé. The number of daily departures has gone from 80 to 8 and only for Quebec, Montreal and Rimouski.
