18-year-old facing charges following Saskatoon Police Investigation – Canada Police Report

Saskatoon, Saskatchewan – Members of the Guns & Gangs Unit have completed an investigation involving firearms and cocaine/marihuana trafficking.

During the investigation, Police observed activity consistent with drug trafficking involving a male suspect. At approximately 4:05 p.m., February 10, 2021, with the assistance of Patrol, a high-risk vehicle stop was conducted on a taxi cab near 25th Street East and 2nd Avenue North. The male suspect was arrested from the cab without incident. He was found in possession of a firearm, 33g cocaine, 226g cannabis, bear spray and over $600 CAD.

An 18-year-old man is facing eight firearms-related offences and is charged with Trafficking Cocaine, Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of Illicit Cannabis and Possession of Cannabis for the Purpose of Selling. He is also charged with Possession of the Proceeds of Crime Under $5000, Carry a Concealed Weapon and Breach of Release.
