The director of public health for the Gaspé and his colleagues in other regions in the orange zone would like a clear message from Quebec to prohibit travel between regions during the school break.
For its part, the Legault government is rather sticking to a recommendation to the population not to travel from one region to another.
However, Dr Yv Bonnier-Viger believes that banning travel between regions, without putting up roadblocks, would be an option that would allow regions, such as the Gaspé, to be more protected. He also specifies that his fellow directors of health in other orange regions are of the same opinion.
