Access to the Covid-19 vaccine is variable in Gaspé for laboratory technicians.

According to the APTS, some technicians in Baie-des-Chaleurs received the vaccine during the holiday season when the first doses arrived, which was the case for New Carlisle and Paspébiac. During this time, those of Maria did not have access to it.

Staff from the Sainte-Anne-des-Monts laboratory who were available were also vaccinated at the Cap-Chat CHSLD, which received the second batch awarded to Gaspésie.

The third batch of injections was allocated to the Rocher-Percé Accommodation Center, with the priority objective of vaccinating residents in CHSLDs and employees.

The laboratory technicians at Chandler hospital will be called upon to be vaccinated this week, notes the regional president of the APTS, Jenny Tardif, and a little later, those of the Gaspé hospital:

The union demands that the CISSS de la Gaspésie send it its regional vaccination plan. The president underlines that the union receives little information on the deployment of the operation by the CISSS.
