Cédric Paquette leaves Ottawa to join the Hurricanes

Gaspé striker of the National Hockey League, Cédric Paquette de Gaspé, has lined up the Carolina Hurricanes for the rest of his contract.

His stay in the National Capital was therefore short-lived as he played only 9 games with the Ottawa Senators following the transaction involving his former team from Tampa Bay.

While he was scheduled to be in the roster against the Winnipeg Jets on Saturday, after being sidelined in the previous 4 games, the Senators organization announced his departure for Raleigh, North Carolina after ‘a transaction.

Isabelle, Cedric’s sister, mentions that he did not expect a trade so early in the season, but adds that he is certainly happy to join his new team which appeals to his style of play:

In his opinion, this exchange relieves the uncertainty that had settled for his brother who has nevertheless shown in recent years that he has the makings of an NHL player:
