Edmonton Homicide investigators release video of murder suspect – Canada Police Report

Edmonton, Alberta – Homicide investigators are releasing video surveillance of a suspect and a vehicle in connection with the death of a 38-year-old male in northeast Edmonton Wednesday morning.

The video shows a male suspect walking through the parking lot of a townhouse complex near the crime scene, 139 Avenue and 35 Street, at approximately 8:30 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2021. Homicide investigators are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the male suspect seen in the video.

Investigators are also asking for the public’s help in locating a vehicle believed to be connected to the homicide. The vehicle is a 2012 silver Nissan Rogue (stock photo included below) which was bearing the Alberta licence plate CGH 3350.

Autopsy results from the Edmonton Medical Examiner confirm that Peter Boakye, 38, of Edmonton, died from a sharp force injury. The manner of death is homicide.

The male is believed to be armed and dangerous, thus anyone with information about the identity or whereabouts of the suspect is asked to proceed with caution and contact EPS directly at 780-423-4567 or #377 from a mobile phone. At approximately 8:30 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2021, Northeast Division patrol members responded to a trouble unknown call at a residence near 139 Avenue and 35 Street.

Upon arrival, members found a male at that residence in medical distress. Paramedics treated and transported the male to hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
