Education workers affiliated with the CSQ vote 73% for strike action

Education workers affiliated with the CSQ voted 73% in favor of a strike of up to 5 days as part of the renewal of their collective agreement.

The Centrale des unions du Québec, which includes the Syndicat des Travailleurs de l’Education de l’Est-du-Québec, wants the government to settle once and for all the negotiations that have dragged on for over a year.

According to the regional president, Anne Bernier, the pandemic context adds to the responsibilities of the teaching staff who have the heavy task of ensuring the success of their pupils and students.
