Lloydminster RCMP arrest dangerous driver after collision at hospital – Canada Police Report

Lloydminster, Saskatchewan – On March 17, 2021 at approximately 8:50 pm, Lloydminster RCMP members were alerted to a report of a theft of a vehicle from outside a business near 50th Avenue and 44th Street. Police received numerous calls from the public about the stolen vehicle in the minutes after this, as it was travelling at a high rate of speed throughout the city. During this time, Police received additional information that the suspect vehicle had been involved in a collision by driving into the front entrance of the Lloydminster Hospital, causing considerable damage.

Staff members at the scene were able to point out the driver to police, and a 40-year-old male from Lloydminster, SK was taken into custody. No staff or members of the public attending the hospital were injured as a result of the incident.

Lloydminster RCMP continue to investigate this matter, and charges are pending against the male suspect.
