In Winnipeg, Dr. Brent Roussin, Manitoba’s chief public health officer, and Audrey Gordon, the provincial minister of health and seniors care, announce new restrictions for the province amid rising cases of COVID-19 and hospitalizations. The new measures include limiting religious services that do not ask for proof of vaccination in the Southern health region to 25 per cent capacity up to a maximum of 250 people beginning November 13, and a province-wide requirement for proof of vaccination or a recent negative test for 12 to 17-year-olds participating in indoor recreational sports starting December 5. Monica Warren, Manitoba’s provincial COVID operations chief at Shared Health, also takes part in the news conference.
