A permaculture school project is underway in Val-d’Espoir for implementation scheduled for 2022.
Already in the 1930s until the 1960s, Val-d’Espoir already hosted a national agricultural school at that time, marking a page in the history of agricultural education in Quebec.
The enthusiasm of the people of the village for this project was confirmed last year during a citizen consultation initiated by the City of Percé.
The CEO of the firm Lelièvre Conseils, regional development, Gaétan Lelièvre, mentions that it is a question of setting up a school aimed at creating ecosystems that respect biodiversity.
The Val-d’Espoir permaculture school would in a way be complementary to what already exists in Quebec.
