The regional director of public health is in favor of a return to class for the 2e full-time secondary cycle.

However, Dr Yv Bonnier-Viger estimates that it is necessary to wait about 3 weeks before considering such a possibility. A science and math teacher at Antoine-Bernard school in Carleton asks the Minister of Education to bring secondary 3-4 and 5 students back to the orange zone on full-time school benches. A petition was launched on this subject last week.

Yv Bonnier-Viger notes that the pandemic is very difficult for young people, both academically and psychologically. He says he agrees with the request made by teacher Donald-Mathieu Robichaud, but we must take the time to see the effects of the relaxation of the measurements and the impact of the variants on a possible third wave.
