The last people with COVID-19 in the Côte-de-Gaspé sector are all linked to a case that broke out last week.
The majority of these, more than ten, would be located in the Estran sector, according to information from the mayor of Grande-Vallée.
The director of public health, Yv Bonnier-Viger, specifies that the first case of this group of people had symptoms that resemble the flu when it was COVID-19 and took too long to get tested.
Dr Yv Bonnier-Viger also asks anyone from a region where there are many cases of COVID-19, particularly red areas, not to travel to Gaspésie to avoid the spread of the virus.
For his part, the mayor of Grande-Vallée, Noël Richard, invites the population of the Foreshore to respect health measures to avoid other cases.
