Two Men Arrested after Home Invasion in Dawson City – Canada Police Report

Dawson City, Yukon – On 25 February, 2021 Dawson City Detachment RCMP were notified of a break and enter to in Dawson City. The report indicated that two masked men had entered a residence, assaulted a man inside with a weapon and departed.

The man who was assaulted was taken to hospital for treatment of injuries and later released.

An investigation by the Dawson City RCMP resulted in police executing a search warrant at a residence and arresting Tyler and Nick Rear for the offences.

Both men have been charged with the following:

Break and Enter – Sec. 348(1)(b) CC;

Aggravated Assault – Sec. 268(2) CC;

Disguised with Intent – Sec. 351(2) CC;

Uttering Threats – Sec. 264.1(1)(a) CC; and,

Damage to Property – Sec. 430(4) CC.
