Vaccination against COVID-19 for people aged 80 and over must continue in Gaspésie during the week of March 8.
The director of public health, Yv Bonnier Viger, explains that a delivery of a tray of 1,170 vaccines is expected on March 11.
The Minister of Health, Christian Dubé, announced yesterday that the Quebec population will be able to start reserving a time slot to be vaccinated from Thursday.
However, Yv Bonnier-Viger explains that it could be difficult to make an appointment for the moment for people from Gaspésie since it is impossible at this time to know if the region will have other doses by the suite and where they will be sent.
The health director specifies, however, that the majority of seniors aged 80 and over will be reached by public health at the appropriate time to receive a vaccine.
